Great Article on the Evils of Bottled Water

My assistant Anne found this on the web.  Why are we spending millions of dollars to produce the highest quality of tap water in the world and then buying bottled water with lower standards of testing and massive plastics refuse to deal with??

Please copy this to friends if possible – it would be good to get the word out!

Eau No! Clean, healthy and pure? Hardly. Bottled water is killing the planet.

    David,
The bottled water in Calgary was created after two plebiscites manufactured the consent for fluoridation in this City. If you check the most recent data and science, the efficacy of ingested fluoride is not only questionable but harmful. It is documented that many who drink fluoridated tap water have thyroid problems, fluorosis, (dental and skeletal), bone spurs and many other maladies. I believe the province needs to ban fluoridation as has been done in most European countries and Japan.
The ADA has admitted (Fall05) that fluoride is harmful for children under the age of 3.
Dr. Hill, Calgary’s Medical Officer for Health, kept fluoridation out of our water during the 50′s and 60′s. Dr. Arvid Carlsson, Nobel Prize Winner for Medicine (2000) lobbied to stop fluoridation in Sweden. Health by plebiscite makes no sense.

Here’s a really simple way to put it:

Buying bottled is voluntarily privatizing your water supply.

-most bottled water IS tap water, just from a different municipality
-much bottled water is fluoridated, and chlorinated and is not subjected to rigorous quality controls, so you really don’t know what you are getting…

(don’t get me wrong, I’m against fluoridation in Calgary, but I am pretty sure the yellow air I’m breathing here and the food I voluntarily eat are both much worse)
