Previously a 230 kV line, there are plans to increase it to 500 kv. This is a line fron Great Falls to Lethbridge, with Edmonton's Heartland the final destination. I am not against the Wind power project as a project, but why would Alberta's taxpayers have to pay for the construction and maintenance of the line from Lethbridge to the Heartland when it is a commercial project? $2 billion is not a small amount of money just for construction, and maintenence is an ongoing proposition.
